Brief description
Photograph from an album of photographs by Donald W Brunt (senior). The photograph depicts The Concrete Machinery Company Limited, Cross Street, entry number 58 in the 1905 Cheap Cottages Exhibition. The photograph was taken just before or during the competition as there are building materials around the cottage, the garden is newly planted and there are two signs standing in front of the house, the first reads: 'Cottage Erected By/ THE CONCRETE MACHINERY Co. LIMITED/ 18 Water Street Liverpool'. The second sign, reads: 'Wm. WALLACE & Co Ltd/ 151 152 153 154 & 155/ Curtain Rd London E.C./ CABINET MAKERS/ AND/ UPHOLSTERERS/ COTTAGES/ Completely Furnished/ £75 (last two lines unreadable'.
