Folk dancing costume.

Brief description

Tunic, or chimesette, in satin/ silk-type fabric. Long length, with flared sleeves and hook-and-eye fastening on torso. The textile is bright yellow with black stripes running horizontally on torso and arms, and vertically on lower half. The sleeves and front of the main body are lined in a bright green textile. The top of the bodice is trimmed in gold braid with 'jewelled' embellishments. Part of a folk/ Greek dancing costume, similar to those worn by Letchworth folk dancers. See FGCHM 2012.2.7 for a diagram of how the costume was worn. Unknown date.
