Spirella 21 years service watch

Brief description

Wrist watch, with gold hexagonal case and round white face, manufactured by VERTEX. The reverse of the casing has an inscription which reads '21 YEARS/ WITH/ Spirella/ MRS. K.H. BIRBECK/ JUNE 1939'. Mrs Birbeck would have been a member of the Ivy Leaf Club. FGCHM 2009.281.2 is a watch chain strap which accompanied the donation, believed to be the original, but unattached from the watch casing and missing some parts.
